As the COVID-19 outbreak escalates, the care and safety of your loved ones, relatives and our people continues to be our priority. In line with other providers, we have taken the decision to stop visits to Elmsfield House.

We understand the importance of family contact and appreciate the support we have had from families to implement these measures in order to keep your loved one safe. Our teams will be encouraging and supporting your loved ones and families to keep in touch using technology. All families can stay connected with daily updates through Relative Gateway™

In exceptional circumstances, our home manager will work with the family to closely manage visits, whilst minimising the chance of spreading infection.

Our Air filtration system and Covid-19

As most of you will know, we had a new air filtration system fitted a few months ago.

However, we had this installed before COVID19 was even heard of! None of us knew at the time how important this new system would be until now.

We recieved this statement from the manufacturer the other day :

Keeping in touch with your loved ones.

In these unprecedeted times we are doing our best to keep you reassured and in contact with your loved ones while isolationg and keeping them safe.

With this in mind, by the end of the week we will have 2 new iPads so that family can facetime their relatives at a set time. We shall have to see how it goes with each individual, we desperately want to keep open communication between you all during this tough time, however we do not want to unduly distress anyone.

Hopefully it will be a positive experience for all.
