Our home away from home

Elmsfield House is a Georgian House set in an acre of grounds providing a peaceful place to relax. With spacious rooms that overlook the grounds, we encourage our guests to make it their own home.

Bringing their own photos and furnishings to create a familiar and comfortable place. All rooms have en-suite facilities. We can even provide couples with their own room (subject to availability of the larger rooms). We are able to provide specialist care for all your loved one’s needs.

The conservatory provides a light and comfortable environment to enjoy the sunshine during the day. When the weather allows, the garden is a great place to explore and specially planted to stimulate all senses.

We proved home cooked meals and of course those little treats that everyone loves at home including afternoon tea and evening treats. All our meals are freshly prepared and nutritionally balanced.

There are no set visiting hours and family and friends are welcome to visit when it’s convenient for them. There is plenty of tea and coffee to share with your loved one whilst you catch up on their daily activities.

If you are not able to visit, you can stay connected through our Relative Gateway™. Log on with your individual details and keep in touch with your loved one’s lives and progress.

We believe in investing for the future and recently installed an air filtering system, Biozone™. This controls the air quality around the house to reduce bacteria and spread of infection. We believe we are the only home in Cumbria to install this system. In addition, we have recently installed a lift to provide easy access to all levels of Elmsfield House.
